Hidden Talents

By Harper Braddock

Julia Landon’s amazing students not only have a lot to offer academically, but they also have tons of hidden talents that make themselves unique! Everyone has something special, no matter if you can see it or not, to themselves that they can do, even if it seems quirky or unusual. One student says they can jump on a pogo stick almost 900 times without stopping! That would be an awesome conversation starter and something you’d definitely remember about someone.

Some students have talents that are even more unexpected. For example, one student says they can make their tongue into a clover! That might sound pretty crazy, but it is actually a really cool trick! Imagine showing your friends that for the first time and seeing their reactions. There are so many different tricks, skills, and more that people have That people have and never know about until they actually try to find it. Sometimes the smallest/strangest talents can end up as the most interesting.

Another student has a talent for editing cars so well they have almost 500 subscribers on YouTube! What an accomplishment! Having that many subscribers means that hundreds of people have chosen their free time to watch what they do. This is a great example of how something that may seem completely ordinary can become a unique talent! With creativity and practice, people can turn almost anything into a hidden talent like this!

Hidden talents can be anything from playing water polo to acting, dancing, singing, drawing, playing sports, or doing unusual tricks. You might even have a talent that you do not know is special because you’ve been doing it so long. Everyone has different abilities/ interests, and that is what makes people interesting. You never know what someone might be great at until you take the time to know them. So, make sure to include your hidden talents wherever you go! Don’t be scared to share it, even if you think it’s something normal everyone can do. What seems normal to you could be completely amazing to somebody else! Try something new to find your hidden talent, they make us different from everyone else, so if you think you have a talent, reach out and share!
