(2026 – 2027)

By Varenya Manneti

This year The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS)  elections had a lot of competition, with many people running for positions, like President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, and Parliamentarian. The first round was on September 2nd for the positions President, Vice President, and Secretary. After hearing speeches from the candidates, NJHS members voted for the students they believed were the best at their role. Hamsini Domokuntala was elected as President, Brandon Zhang was elected Vice President, and Pranit Mulay was elected Secretary. With so many students running, the election was highly competitive. It was great to see everyone have the opportunity to share their ideas and give speeches. Most importantly, students made their decisions based on what they heard from the candidates and the speeches they presented. Later, on September 16th, there was the other half of the election. There were elections for Treasurer, Parliamentarian, and Historian. Jason Liang was elected for Treasurer, Aly Fair was elected for Historian, and Georgia Whittmore was elected for Parliamentarian. Congratulations to all the students who participated in the election, and congratulations to the newly elected NJHS officers!
